Booksmor has a deliberately simple pricing model: one base plan, four optional add-on modules, and a pay-as-you-go AI wallet. No usage tiers, no per-user fees, no contracts.

A typical SMB on the base plan pays ₹6,600 + 18% GST = ₹7,788 per year (about ₹649/month all-in).
What’s in the base plan
Everything an Indian SMB needs for day-to-day accounting:
- Vouchers: Sales invoices, Purchase invoices, Receipts, Payments, Credit Notes, Debit Notes, Delivery Challans, Journal entries.
- Masters: Customers, Vendors, Products & Services, Chart of Accounts (Indian standard COA loaded in one click).
- GST: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B prep + filing, GSTR-2B reconciliation, e-Invoice (IRN), e-Way bill, ITC register, RCM tracking.
- Bank Reconciliation: both upload-statement and manual-tick modes.
- Capture Bill: AI reads a PDF/photo of a vendor bill and pre-fills a draft purchase voucher.
- Reports: 20+ pre-built reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Cash Flow, Ledger, Sales / Purchase / Customer / Vendor / Item / Ageing registers, Transaction Analyzer).
- Sharing: Print, PDF, WhatsApp share, Email invoices and reports.
- Multi-company: separate companies under one login (with per-company password lock).
- Team & roles: up to 9 pre-built roles (Owner, Manager, Accountant, Cashier, Auditor, Salesperson, Store Keeper, Production Store, HR) with fine-grained per-feature permissions.
- CA / accountant access: link your CA firm with their CAID; choose what they can see and edit.
- Designer: customise forms (hide/rename fields, add your own), customise invoice/voucher print templates.
- Import / Export: CSV import, Tally + Zoho migrators, 5 CSV exports.
- UPI on invoices: live UPI QR on every invoice once you set your VPA.
- AI assistance (uses tokens from the AI wallet): Capture Bill, anomaly detection, in-app chat help.

What’s not in the base plan
These four modules are optional add-ons, each ₹550/month on top of the base. Add only the ones you need:

A retailer who only sells in-store probably needs POS but not Payroll. A consultant probably needs none of the four — base is enough.
You can add or remove add-ons any time. Removing a paid add-on doesn’t delete your data; the features just become read-only.
How AI billing works
A small set of features use AI: Capture Bill (reads vendor bills), anomaly detection (flags unusual transactions), and the in-app chat help. These consume tokens from your AI wallet.
- Each tenant starts with 200,000 free tokens during the 30-day trial.
- After trial, top up the wallet with AI Token Packs — 1,000,000 tokens for ₹550 (+18% GST). Wallets never expire; unused tokens carry forward indefinitely.
- Typical small business usage: 1–3 lakh tokens per month (so ₹150–₹250/month worth).
- Heavy AI use (lots of bill captures): 5–10 lakh tokens per month.

These are the subscription costs. AI tokens are separate (most SMBs spend ₹500–₹2,500/year on AI top-ups).
Billing terms
- Billed annually. No monthly billing — we keep pricing simple and the per-month figure is just for understanding.
- No contracts. You can cancel at the end of any annual term. We don’t auto-renew without notice.
- Reminders. Booksmor reminds you well before renewal so nothing surprises you.
- 30-day grace period after a subscription lapses. Your data stays accessible read-write during grace; only after that does the tenant move to read-only.
What about partner / CA pricing?
Accountants and CA firms can register as Partners at https://app.booksmor.com/partner-register. Partners can onboard clients into their own portal, manage multiple businesses, and get a built-in revenue share on every client they bring (₹300/month per active base subscription, paid as a recurring credit).
The partner sees all their clients in one portal, the client gets a normal Booksmor login — both sides win.
Common questions
Is there a free version? There’s a 30-day free trial with every feature on (including all four add-ons) and 200,000 free AI tokens. After 30 days you pick the base plan + any add-ons you actually need. See Free Trial.
Can I pay monthly instead of annually? Not currently. Annual billing keeps administrative overhead low so we can keep the price down.
Can I switch plans mid-year? You can add an add-on any time; you’ll be billed pro-rata for the remainder of your annual term. To remove an add-on, do so before renewal — the change takes effect next term.
What payment methods are accepted? Razorpay, Cashfree, and direct UPI. Card, net-banking, and UPI all work via the gateway. Wire-transfer / bank-deposit invoices on request for larger CA firms — write to accounts@booksmor.com.
Are there per-user fees? No. Add as many team members as you want — invite-by-email, assign a role, done. The 9 pre-built roles cover most setups; permissions are granular per-feature if you need to customise.
Does the price include support? Yes. Email support at support@booksmor.com is included. Implementation help for large migrations (from Tally / Zoho with significant data volumes) is available through our partner CA network.
What if I’m a CA firm with 50 clients? The Partner Portal is built for you. Each client is a separate tenant with their own pricing (you pass on the cost to the client, with the ₹300/month partner credit netting against your own work). Contact partners@booksmor.com for volume / white-label options.
Will the price change? We commit to your annual price for the term you signed up for. Any future price changes apply only on renewal, with at least 60 days’ notice.
What happens to my data if I cancel? Your data stays accessible (read-only) for 90 days after cancellation. You can export everything to CSV (or migrate to another tool) any time in that window. After 90 days the tenant is archived; we can restore it for 12 months on request.
